Facebook is building interactions, and to add more bricks to that they recently announced a slew of Timeline apps. ( you may want to check out our review of Facebook Timeline first ) Facebook Timeline apps are like third–party add-ons which integrate with your Facebook Timeline profile and add real-time interactivity between you and your friends. Any activity that you engage in on these services is shared across your social network. The list of Facebook Timeline apps include ones from Foodspotting, Foodily, Ticketmaster, Pinterest, Rotten Tomatoes, Pose, Kobo, Gogobot, TripAdvisor, and others. There are nearly 80 apps to choose from with more expected to arrive soon. All are neatly categorized and you can choose the ones you want to enhance your Timeline with. Let’s see how Facebook Timeline Apps increase our interaction and also those of the service they represent. I love music, so I am going to pick Saavn as my first Timeline app for my profile. Click on the apps link that takes you to the log-in with Facebook page. Some apps make the connection with Facebook quite explicit while for others it may be a bit obscure, but if you log-in with Facebook then your activity on the app gets reflected on your Timeline. On the face of it, if you share a lot of content via Facebook, then Facebook apps are a real help. You don’t have to deliberately share content as your Timeline gets updated automatically with your activities. Your social circle does not have to check you out on different online spots as it’s all reflected on the apps.
