1. Check if the Current Tab Is Muted

For Google Chrome
The following steps remain the same for Google Chrome on Mac and Windows. Step 1: Open Google Chrome on your Mac or Windows PC.
Step 2: Visit WhatsApp Web and sign in to your account. Visit WhatsApp Web Step 3: Play the audio clip or video sent by your contact. Check if you can see a Muted Audio logo in the right side of the tab.
